CF Projects was set up to be the delivery division of The Carpenters’ Fellowship, allowing us to take on commercial framing projects that deliver fantastic benefits both to our membership and to the recipient organisations.
To qualify for a CF project, the client organisation should fall into at least one of these categories:
- A charitable trust or not-for-profit organisation
- Community-based with volunteer involvement
- Engaged in pro-environmental activity
- Engaged in restoration or conservation of buildings
- Providing education or training.
Potential projects are scoped, discussed and budgeted and if everything falls into place CFP puts together a team of CF members to make it happen.
The benefits to the client organisation are numerous.
The whole project is tailored to their needs with top quality professional design of the building and the opportunity to give their members unique opportunities for hands-on experience in the process, with activities suitable for everybody from children and complete novices to experienced and competent enthusiasts. The events also generate fantastic publicity and can become a focus for community support and fundraising.
For the CF, it allows us to work together, often in a way that is not possible in our commercial lives, taking on new roles or working in new and interesting ways.
This can provide us with fresh insights into the methods and techniques of our craft and broaden our horizons.
The CF also benefits from the publicity and gains increased membership.
For participants, the best part is that it gives them the chance to meet and work together in the most rewarding way imaginable, sharing the enjoyment of the craft and the company of like-minded and exceptional people.
To date we have delivered many such projects with outstanding results and we are continually looking for more.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you feel that you have come across a deserving project for us to take on.
