Thursday night is is curry night
So those travelling long distances don’t have to worry about food on the Thursday night there will be a meat and vegetarian curry available all evening. This will be included in the full Frame ticket, and the bar will be open.

Home-Style Catering by Gravy & Custard
Catering is being provided by Gravy & Custard. A local family-run venture rooted in traditional cooking, combining restaurant-level flair with the warmth of a family table. Sam(antha) and Dan will be looking after us across both courses and the entire Frame weekend.

Hands-On Tool Demonstrations by Makita
Makita will be joining us over the weekend with hands-on demonstrations of their latest powered framing tools. If you’ve never tried a chain morticer or are self-taught, this is your chance to get stuck in and try the tools in action with expert guidance.

Traditional Toolmaking & Live Woodturning with Woodsmith
Woodsmith is an independent supplier of hand tools for green woodworking and traditional crafts. Run by craftspeople, they work closely with skilled toolmakers to bring quality tools to makers across the UK and beyond. They stock over 100 brands including Gränsfors Bruk, Hultafors, Thorn Wood Forge, Shinwa, Star-M, Ray Iles, and many more, and will also be offering live demos of bowl turning on a pole lathe — a hands-on experience not to miss.

Vintage & Specialist Tools from Norm’s Collection
Norm brings together a carefully curated collection of high-quality vintage tools, available exclusively at Frame each year. From laminated socket chisels, gouges, planes, dividers and adzes to old axes, a full cooper’s toolkit, long mill makers shell augers and even a 150-year-old frame saw, there’s something for every craftsman. Prices range from £1 to £500 — a chance to discover tools with real soul.

Where Craftsmanship meets Friendly Competition
Hewing competition
4 teams of 6 will compete and judged under the following headings. Teams will be placed 1st (one point) to 4th (4 points) by an international team of 3 judges. The team with the lowest aggregate score will be the winners.
- Health and safety
- Dimensional accuracy
- Aesthetics
- Order of finishing
- Site clean-up.
For this inaugural event 4 team captains will be nominated to choose in turn from hewers who wish to participate. Bring your axe, logs provided.
