24 year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America(UBC), Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council, Local Union #250, Lake and McHenry County, Illinois, USA.
Employed as a full time instructor for the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council Apprentice and Training Program in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, just outside of Chicago. I teach layout, residential and commercial framing, interior and exterior trim, stairs, and rafters.
I am also the lead instructor for our Heavy Timber Program consisting of traditional timber framing courses and Mass Timber Construction utilizing glulam, CLT, NLT, and LVT. We have just begun our program of Stereotomy courses as well.
I teach the Heavy Timber Framing / Mass Timber TTT instructor course at the UBC International Training Center in Las Vegas.
I have been studying Stereotomy under Patrick Moore since 2019 and received my Professional Certificate in Stereotomy in 2022 and was received as a fellow of The Professional School of Practical Stereotomy. I continue to Study under Patrick still.
In 2019 I received my Instructor Level 3 Certification in Workforce Education from Penn State University.
I have been a member of The Timber Farmer’s Guild since 2017.
