Job Description: Estimator
Location: Bath
Contract: Permanent/ Full time (part time considered)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Hours: 35 – 42.5 hours a week - weekdays

Who we are:
We are a timber framing company based on the outskirts of Bath.
Since 1999 we have been designing bespoke oak buildings such as homes, barns, public buildings, extensions, garages and garden rooms, expanding and utilising our client’s space.
We are currently looking to employ a permanent, full/part time estimator to join our friendly, yet motivated team due to the high demand of enquiries that we are now receiving.
Do you have a good understanding of oak framed buildings or previous experience of estimating?
This role would suit someone working as an estimator, oak framer, quantity surveyor or similar.
What the job role entails:
Designing and producing Sketch Up images
Preparing & Submitting quotes for our clients in a timely and efficient manner
Data inputting into the inhouse database and CRM
Regular communication with sales and design departments
Answering the phone when necessary
Responding to customers questions via email or the telephone.
Calculating the cost of materials, transport, labour and equipment hire
We are looking for someone with the following skills:
Experience of the timber framing and/or construction sector
Understanding plans/drawings on paper and digital
Experience and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Good eye for detail
Excellent time management skills
Good communication skills when dealing with both colleagues and clients
Willingness to learn
Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
Organised and methodical
A team player
Experience in a similar estimating role (ideally within the construction industry)
Knowledge of timber frames such as trusses, beams, posts etc
Good knowledge and experience using AutoCAD/Sketchup/AutoDesk
